Mealani Nako, Staff Writer
Mealani Nako is currently a junior at Seabury Hall. She was born in Saitama, Japan and adopted by her parents as a baby. One day, Nako aspires to return back to her homeland for her college schooling and earn a degree in international relations with a possible minor in journalism. She dreams of becoming a fashion editor for Liz Lisa, a popular clothing brand for teenage girls in Japan. Although Nako is shy in her classes, she becomes quite the opposite when she is with her friends, transforming into an upbeat, loud, bubbly girl. Her friends would describe her as someone who is always happy and smiling through every situation. Despite being a junior, Nako is a child at heart; she still enjoys going to see the latest Disney movies in the theater and buying all the stuffed animals she can get her hands on. While off campus, Nako enjoys playing the piano, listening to music on YouTube, and hanging out with her friends at the beach.
