Olivia Hoekstra is currently a sophomore attending Seabury Hall. Hoekstra was born in Southern California and moved to Maui when she was two. She attended Seabury for middle school. Since she entered Seabury, Hoekstra has been on student council every year. She was the middle school president and a member of the upper school student council during her freshman year. Hoekstra loves being on student council because it gives her the opportunity to change the school in a positive way. Hoekstra is also an avid tennis player, who started playing at age five. She has traveled all over the state and country playing in tennis tournaments. Hoekstra is ranked number one at Seabury and also in her age category in USTA tennis. Hoekstra loves to cook and, her favorite dish she makes would be homemade pasta with calamari or Brazilian fish stew. She also enjoys fashion; she has designed and made her own collection. Hoekstra favorite designers are Carolina Herrera, Olivier Rousteing, Riccardo Tisci and Karl Lagerfeld. Hoekstra has a passion for giving back to the community, she has hosted and cooked many charity dinners that she and her mother sell at charity events, like such as the Seabury Craft Fair. This year she has started her own non-profit that helps to give education to children all around the world. Hoekstra loves sports and is a huge fan. Her favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors, the 49ers, and the LA Clippers. She hopes to be a sports agent or a lawyer in the future. In her free times, Hoekstra can be found hanging out with friends or playing tennis at the courts. She cannot wait to continue at Seabury making great memories with the sophomore class.
