Rachel Gilbert, Staff Writer
Rachel Gilbert is a newcomer to our Seabury Hall campus. Before Seabury, Gilbert attended the small Christian school Emmanuel Lutheran. Her freshman spirit comes in handy when working in writing. Gilbert has lived on Maui since she was born and has traveled to all corners of the island. Growing up in the small community of Hali’imaile, she has grown to enjoy the wild outdoors. Her hobbies include challenging her older brother to a game of basketball, watching rainy day movies with her mom, chasing her dogs around the yard, and taking exhilarating bike rides through the cane fields with her dad. Gilbert enjoys watching and playing with the younger children and toddlers during Sunday afternoons after church comes to an end. Aside from these interests, she enjoys school and learning about the unknown. Her educational passions include photography, psychology, biology, and writing. She hopes to be able to join this year’s basketball and water polo teams in the winter and the spring. From kindergarten to the present, she is living her life to the fullest. While taking Seabury by storm, she is ready to begin a new, stress-filled chapter in her life known as high school.
