Evan Houle, Staff Writer

Evan Houle is a freshman attending Seabury Hall. He was born over 3,000 miles away in Alberta, Canada, and grew up in the frigid environment he calls home. Houle attended École Marie Poburan for elementary school, and learned to speak French as a secondary language while he was there. In seventh grade, Houle attended École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite D'Youville to further increase his knowledge of French. Houle was shocked when his family decided to move to Maui before eighth grade, but realized that learning to adapt into a new environment is a good skill to have. Maui allowed Houle to pursue his previous passions and also learn new hobbies. Houle loves most sports, mainly soccer, basketball, and hockey, and he is always interested in trying new hobbies and activities. In his free time, Houle enjoys spending time with friends and family, whether it is in ice-cold Canada or sunny Hawaii. While at Seabury Hall, Houle plans to immerse himself in a wide variety of sports, such as soccer, tennis and cross-country, among others. While Houle has no immediate plans for his long term future, he continues to stay open to many ideas regarding jobs, college and sports. Houle is hoping that his high school years will open his eyes to new opportunities in life, and is excited for his time at Seabury Hall.
